DEVELOPING STORY... This is pretty exciting for Android fans. Just moments ago, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) announced its Nexus S phone, which will be the flagship phone for the Android 2.3 operating system, which Google owns.
The device was reportedly being developed by a team that includes HTC Corp. and Samsung.
It is expected to launch on December 16 in the United States, and about four days later in Europe. Like the Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 4, the Nexus S sports two cameras: one on the back, and one on the front, presumably for live video chat capability similar to Apple's FaceTime application.
It also has a generous on-board memory of 16 gigabytes. Plenty of space for all the photos and videos you'll capture on this device. More details to come.
