This question plagues me constantly.
I am working so hard, possibly too hard, to become financially free -- to the point where I don't need a day job or other people to make my dreams a reality.
I think it is easy to quit the race and forget about building wealth, to just hit the bar or watch TV at night instead of growing your business, when you LOSE SIGHT of why you want to be rich in the first place.
In my case, it is because I want to travel the world, and not be tied down. I am happiest when I am traveling somewhere new, learning a new language, exploring a city or village I have never set foot in before.
Whenever I begin to lose the motivation and feel tempted to get drunk, or watch the tube before drifting off to sleep, I remember why I am doing all of this in the first place. Why I am investing so aggressively, counting every penny and dime, taking on as many freelance assignments as possible.
It's all for that end goal. And it gives me the fuel to keep going. What's your motivation for becoming rich? Or are you already in a place of total financial comfort?
