Are you thinking about getting a new Citibank credit card or bank account?
My very first credit card, back when I was in college, was a Citi Platinum Dividend Select MasterCard. I built it from from a meager initial credit limit to a huge credit limit... and I still have the account open today, although I don't use it too often anymore. Better card offers have come along at Citibank since those days.
Among my favorites:
Citi CashReturns Card - This cash back credit card could not get any easier. It offers "unlimited cash back" on all eligible purchases made using the card. 1% is the current cash back rate; they automatically send you a check every time you accrue $50 or more in cash back earnings. There is no annual fee.
Citi Platinum Select / AAdvantage World MasterCard - Long name for a credit card, but this one rocks. You earn 25,000 American Airlines AAdvantage bonus miles after just $750 in spending during your first four months... So spend $188 or more per month on this card and you'll get a ton of miles -- enough to redeem for certain Travel Award flights, in fact. No blackout dates and your AAdvantage points do not expire. Downsides? $85 annual fee and no intro APR offer.
Citi Diamond Preferred Card - This one has a very tempting 0% intro APR on purchases for up to 12 months, based on credit history, application and the bank's decision. Plus no annual fee, 24/7 concierge service and probably the most pimp looking of Citi's credit cards, with possible exception of their Chairman card (see image above of the Diamond card; photo courtesy of Citibank).
